If you are dependent on medical equipment for health reasons, the Jobcenter can grant you subsidies under certain conditions. This applies to the purchase and repairs of orthopedic shoes, repairs of therapeutic devices and equipment, and the rental of therapeutic devices. As a customer of the Job Center, you will have a fixed contact person who will accompany you on your individual path back into the labor market. Depending on where you are at the moment and what your needs are, the support can also change. The reason for this is that our staff is specialized in the respective customer concerns and can thus offer you competent advice in your situation. If, for example, you are aiming for further training, the "Team FbW" (promotion of vocational further training) will advise you. There are also, among other things, special teams for the long-term unemployed, self-employed, rehabilitated or people without a fixed abode.

In case of pregnancy and for the birth, you can apply for one-time benefits for pregnancy clothing and baby equipment at the Jobcenter. As a recipient of unemployment benefits II, you are generally obliged to stay at your place of residence or to be available for the Jobcenter. If you are planning a longer absence from your place of residence (technical term: Ortsabwesenheit), such as a trip, please talk in advance with your counseling specialist. You can apply for the local absence conveniently by telephone at your responsible Jobcenter location.

Under certain circumstances, the Jobcenter can financially support the necessary purchase of a car. A car purchase may become necessary in the context of taking up employment: For example, if an employer agrees to hire you - on condition that you have your own car - or if you demonstrably cannot get to your new job without your own vehicle. Important; please contact your personal counseling specialist (e.g. employment agency, case manager) and talk to them about your plans - absolutely before you purchase the car. The legislator assumes that unemployed young adults under 25 are financially supported by their parents. If this is not the case, the children - as a part of the community of need - have a claim to unemployment benefit II. For under 25-year-old children of the community of need, a first move out of the parental home is therefore only possible under certain conditions. Required is a Approval from the team PEA (examination first move) from the youth vocational house, if you want the costs for the new apartment to be taken over by the Jobcenter. Your electricity costs are covered as a lump sum by your standard rate and must be transferred by yourself to your:n electricity provider.
