Information on payments on 06.10.25 only possible to a limited extent

The Federal Employment Agency (BA) is modernizing its financial and logistics system to ensure reliable payments in the future. On October 6, 2025, there will therefore be minor restrictions on information relating to benefits.

The BA asks for your understanding that information for the areas of unemployment and basic income support, family benefits and payments to funding agencies will only be available to a limited extent on this day. This concerns, for example:

  • information on the current status of a payment and
  • information on transfers of claims or invoices.

The regular payments themselves (e.g. unemployment benefit, citizens' allowance, child benefit, etc.) are not affected. These will continue to be paid out on time. The supply of cash in urgent cases is also guaranteed.

Due to the changeover and the quarterly changeover, there may be longer waiting times for inquiries. The BA therefore recommends limiting consultations and calls on this day to urgent matters if possible. Alternatively, customers can submit their concerns via eServices, the BA mobile app, the Jobcenter app or Jobcenter.Digital.
