AU certificate must continue to be presented to the job center
January 09, 2023
Employers will have to electronically retrieve their employees' incapacity to work data from health insurance companies from the beginning of January 2023. Employees will then only have to "report sick" without being legally required to submit a certificate of incapacity for work (AUB).
For customers of the job center, however, this innovation does not apply. They must continue to submit an AUB in case of illness or incapacity for work to the Jobcenter. Only from January 1, 2024 at the earliest will the job centers also be legally entitled to retrieve the AUB electronically from the health insurance companies.
You can also submit your AUB digitally. The easiest way to do this is via the online portal jobcenter.digital (Don't have access data yet? Just talk to us at your next appointment - we'll be happy to hand them out to you directly). Furthermore, you can also use the contact formon our website to submit your AUB.
