Tip: How to communicate with us digitally

You would like to write an e-mail to the Jobcenter Dortmund? Unfortunately, for data protection reasons, we cannot carry out individual communication by e-mail, as this is not encrypted. If you write us an e-mail, your sensitive social data is not protected and can be intercepted. Because the security of your data is our highest priority as a social services agency, we cannot respond to your email personally.

However, there is a way you can communicate with us securely (encrypted) digitally: At www.jobcenter.digital, you can securely submit applications, messages and documents to us, and they will be assigned directly to your electronic file. If you have any questions about jobcenter.digital, feel free to contact us - we'll be happy to help you set it up and use it.

You can also reach us via the contact form on our homepage. You can use this, for example, to submit documents, notify a request for an appointment or apply for the Sozialticket and the Dortmund Pass.

Three tips on how to speed up the processing of your documents:

  1. Indicate your customer number or Bedarfsgemeinschaftsnummer (BG number) on all documents submitted.
  2. Please do not submit documents more than once or send to multiple addresses at the Jobcenter. This only leads to a delay in processing.
  3. Please send us a document (eg heating bill) as a coherent PDF document with max. 5 MB.
