Tip: How you can communicate with us digitally

Would you like to send an email to the Jobcenter Dortmund? Unfortunately, for data protection reasons, we are unable to communicate individually by email as this is not encrypted. If you send us an email, your sensitive social data is not protected and can be intercepted. As the security of your data is a top priority for us as a social security authority, we cannot reply to your email personally.

However, there is a secure (encrypted) way for you to communicate with us digitally: At you can send us applications, messages and documents in a secure manner and they will be assigned directly to your electronic file. If you have any questions about, please contact us - we will be happy to help you set it up and use it.

You can also reach us via the contact form on our homepage. You can use this to submit documents, request an appointment or apply for the social ticket and Dortmund Pass, for example.

Three tips on how you can speed up the processing of your documents:

  1. Include your customer or benefit community number (BG number) on all documents submitted.
  2. Please do not submit documents more than once or send them to several addresses at the Jobcenter. This will only lead to a delay in processing.
  3. Please send us one document (e.g. heating bill) as one coherent PDF document with max. 5 MB.
