Under certain circumstances, the Jobcenter can provide financial support for the necessary purchase of a car. It may be necessary to buy a car when you start work: For example, if an employer promises you a job - provided you have your own car - or you can prove that you cannot get to your new job without your own vehicle. In such cases, the Jobcenter may consider covering the costs. Important; please contact your personal advisor (e.g. employment agency, case manager) and talk to them about your plans - definitely before you buy the car. This is a benefit from the so-called "placement budget" - there is no legal entitlement to it. You can obtain further information from your responsible advisor at the Jobcenter.</p

Car/car: subsidizing the acquisition costs

Your electricity costs are covered by your standard rate and must be paid to your electricity company by yourself. If you have an electricity back payment from your annual statement that you cannot pay from your own funds, you may be granted a loan. An electricity back payment is always a good opportunity to check whether and where you can save on electricity costs. It is also worth comparing providers at any time. Caritas' free energy-saving service will be happy to help you. The legislator assumes that unemployed young adults under 25 are financially supported by their parents. If this is not the case, the children - as a part of the community of need - have a claim to fraternity allowance. For under 25-year-old children in the community of need, a first move out of the parental home is therefore only possible under certain conditions. Required is a Approval from the team PEA (examination first move) from the youth vocational house, if you want that the costs for the new apartment are taken over by the Jobcenter. In addition, Team PEA will advise you on how the current housing situation can be improved.Even if you permanently pay the rent for the new apartment yourself, parents should contact the Jobcenter to notify the change in the community of need.If under-25s move out of the parental home without permission, the costs of the move and the rent for the new apartment will not be covered by the Jobcenter..

As a recipient of citizen's benefits, you are generally obliged to stay at your place of residence or to be available for the Jobcenter. If you are planning a longer absence from your place of residence (technical term: Ortsabwesenheit), such as a trip, please talk in advance with your counseling specialist. You can apply for the local absence conveniently by telephone at your responsible Jobcenter location.

Request prolonged absence from the place of residence

If you are dependent on medical equipment for health reasons, the Jobcenter can grant you subsidies under certain conditions. This applies to the purchase and repairs of orthopedic shoes, repairs of therapeutic devices and equipment, and the rental of therapeutic devices. Prerequisites are medical evidence of the need for this equipment.

As a customer of the Job Center, you will have a fixed contact person who will accompany you on your individual path back into the labor market. Depending on where you are at the moment and what your needs are, the support can also change. The reason for this is that our staff is specialized in the respective customer concerns and can thus offer you competent advice in your situation. If, for example, you are aiming for further training, the "Team FbW" (promotion of vocational further training) will advise you. There are also, among other things, special teams for the long-term unemployed, self-employed, rehabilitated or people without a fixed abode.
